Worth Noting:
- The Kenyan debt has increased to a certain level that might take a lot of years to recover or to repay it. The Kenyan leaders put less effort in reducing the debts but instead they are just accumulating debts over debts.
- These debts have caused our country’s economy to flactuate over the years. As a result Kenyans have are mourning for the government to lower the amount of commodities because essentials are being sold at high and unfavourable prices thus only few individuals have the capability of getting what is better.
- Citizens who are in rural areas have less capabilities of acquiring some of the essential basic needs due to unfavourable prices for these essentials.
The Kenya’s economy is an issue that is supposed to be addressed with a lot of concern. The economy and politics walk hand in hand with each other, without economy there is no measure of value of a particular country.
A designed economy also weighs the superiority of a particular country. The Kenyan government should put a lot of efforts in maintaining the stability of our economy. Without a reliable economy, our country won’t be worthy to accommodate and cater for the ones who are disabled and the poor leading to low, unproductive, and stranded economy.
Recently, our country’s budget cabinet secretary of finance Hon Okuria Otani proclaimed that we have a lot of concern in budgeting of our economy. There is high increase in value of commodities in the country as far as economy is majorly concerned.

Citizens who are in rural areas have less capabilities of acquiring some of the essential basic needs due to unfavourable prices for these essentials.
For example, the price of sugar, cooking oil, petroleum and fertilizers has increased to a level that only few individuals can obtain them. Salt also, a simple commodity that every citizen in earlier times could acquire at a lower price has now increased and Kenyan currency is losing its value.
Therefore, if the government declines to put this issue into consideration, many Kenyans will end up straining to meet their unlimited needs and some may end up dying due to starvation. so, the government should consider on the economy first rather than politics. Politics reduces the growth of economy because every opposition leader airs out his or her own propaganda that lure citizens to their biased rallies.
They usually promise Kenyans a lot but none of them satisfy these promises instead they are the same monkeys in different forests for they keep on changing political parties only. Politics reduce the growth of our economy, in that money that would have been used to boost other sectors of the economy is being used for campaigns instead of promoting sectors like agriculture, schools, hospitals, transport, tourism and many others.
It’s my pledge to our government to put into consideration our economy because is the backbone of the country. Without a stable and reliable economy, many of our Kenyans are going to suffer in the coming seven to ten years. There would be no other alternatives rather than engaging into serious crimes that will threaten and ruin security and privacy of citizens.
