Dr. Miguna is expected to jet back into the country on Monday 20th of October 2022 at 6:00am (EAT),the controversy that led to his state-imposed exile is daunting to say the least, his basic rights were plainly disrespected with continuous disregard of a number of court orders permitting his unequivocal entry into the country.
Lawyer Miguna’s background is quite straightforward with regard to his fight for freedom for all and sundry. While in Canada, Dr. Miguna has consistently been updating and keenly following developments in Kenya from almost all spheres.
The firebrand lawyer has for the upteenth time stood his ground with the basic principles that he beliefs in, top on the list is his belief in a rules based society with due respect for social justice, fight against impunity,graft,misuse of power amongst others.
Having lost the Nairobi gubernatorial contest to Mike Mbuvi Sonko in the 2017 polls, Dr Miguna went ahead to support National Super Alliance (NASA) coalitions’ #ResistMovement which sought to punish corporates which aided the powers that be for rigging out Raila Amollo Odinga in the 2017 presidential election, he later on parted ways with Raila and his exiling came knocking.
In the year 2019, Dr Miguna while in Toronto tried registering a political party with Kenya’s Office of the Registrar of Political parties (ORRP) duped National Revolutionary Party of Kenya (NRP-K) / National Resistance Movement-Kenya (NRM-Ke) with no success and without any worthy concurrence from the parties’ registry office.
Having vehemently supported the candidature of Dr William Ruto in the August 9th presidential contest candidly and openly, it’s now common knowledge that his return is certain having received his previously destroyed Passport and all signs showing that the Red Alerts previously imposed are out of his way.
So what do Kenyans expect of Miguna’s return to his motherland;
- Prosecution and most likely jailing of those who obstructed his access to his motherland, some of whom have begun quiting Social Media platforms out of such pressures.
- Compensation by the state for the damages caused to his persona and reputation directly or otherwise.
- Registration of his movement, NRM-Ke or NRP-K
- Dethroning of Eng. Raila Odinga from Nyanza political leadership.
- His preparation for the 2027 political ambitions, preferably the senatorial or gubernatorial seats in Nyanza, and so i expect. Karibu Nyumbani Daktari!
