New school season has begun, technology has proved to be more effective in terms of teaching students on concepts and applications.
The use of computers in schools can make the teaching more easier as the teachers can help students learn where possible whilst most of the difficulties students can be referred to google and other tools to get more insights!
However plagiarism must also be taught as some students are lazy to learn just do copy and paste when assignment are done.
As technology grows the plagiarism checkers are modified too in order to check and detect copying of sources and information.
Computers and laptops as well as mobile phones must be used only to educate not to interrupt the normal education system.
The games and the facilities and applications on the phones must be used with caution and only in the presence of a teacher on request.
Internet has proved to make the world networking easier and education has improved a lot therefore it is vital for governments in Africa to include the Information Computing technology in schools today.
Most African countries face the power supply problems as load shedding is now rife even in most best cities in Africa because of lack of adequate energy or electricity therefore this shall cause more network problems however the most important part is to continue to be positive and aid more schools with tools that can engage students and increase the quality of education to reach world class standards.
There shall always be setbacks but the most important part is to have a very well informed generation that is ready to compete globally.
Literacy is very important to Africa as a continent. Order must be maintained in each school about use and regulations must be adhered to.
