Worth Noting:
- Professor Kindiki resurfaced at a time when there was a post circulating in social media alleging that he had been physically slapped by President William Ruto’s Personal Assistant, Farouk Kibet, and that is why he was missing in action.
- Kindiki’s critics, who saw him during the wedding, had started cooking another fake story.
- Listen to this. He had the spect because he did not want people to see the ‘scar’, ‘injury’ he suffered.
- But in Embu Kindiki did not have spect and he looked fit as fiddle. This would leave his critics embarrassed with an egg on face
Deputy President Professor Kithure Kindiki yesterday attended a church service in Embu county.
In his speech, he fired a stern warning to the leaders from Mount Kenya region who were inciting the locals against President William Ruto. He singled out the former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
A day earlier, Kindiki had attended a wedding of the son of the Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano. This was his first public engagement since festive season.
In that event, he took a swipe at those who were making baseless and unfounded rumors about his whereabouts.
Today I’m here with spectacle. You will now start hearing them changing the narrative. They will say Professor Kindiki is now in spect.
They are free to say whatever they want.
This, however, will not deter me from discharging my constitutional duties. My focus and commitment to serving the people of Kenya is beyond reproach.
Professor Kindiki resurfaced at a time when there was a post circulating in social media alleging that he had been physically slapped by President William Ruto’s Personal Assistant, Farouk Kibet, and that is why he was missing in action.
Kindiki’s critics, who saw him during the wedding, had started cooking another fake story.
Listen to this. He had the spect because he did not want people to see the ‘scar’, ‘injury’ he suffered.

From onset, the author of the slap story was lying.
If he wasn’t, one would have expected him to answer three questions. When did this happen? Where did the incident took place? What caused the altercation and how did it end up in a slap?
He failed and, as aresult, many had come to a conclusion that this post had been cooked and it was fake.
Deputy President Kindiki’s first public engagement had been preceded by his New Year message to Kenyans.
In a statement, the DP assured Kenyans that they will start to reap the fruits of the work that the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) government has done under stewardship of President Ruto.
Well, this is not the first time the name of Mr Farouk has been dragged in the mud without those making these claims presenting an iota of evidence.
Unsurprisingly, Kibet is walking the same path as that of top aides of former Presidents.
The only crime is his closeness to the President.
The bitterness of those opposed to the current and former top aides always emanated from the fact they would see them as overzealous gatekeepers, who were blocking them from accessing the President.
When he was at the helm of power, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is one of those who believed in Farouk.
I recall how he showered Dr Ruto’s PA with accolades when he attended an event organized by Kibet in Uasin Gishu county.
Mr Kibet is a good man. We admire his work of handling the President’s diary. He would only allow state officials and other patriotic Kenyans, who believed in Bottom Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), to access the President.
For those dying to meet the President for deal making, gossips and discussing divisive and tribal politics, Farouk would always turn down their requests.
During the era of Kenya’s founding President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, Mbiu Koinange , Dr Njoroge Mungai and Eliud Mahihu were his top aides.
During the era of President Daniel Arap Moi, Nicholas Biwott and Bethwel Kiplagat were his trusted aides and political operatives.
Come to Mwai Kibaki’s presidency, John Michuki, Matere Keriri and Stanley Murage served as members of his inner circle.
During the tenure of Uhuru Kenyatta, we had Karanja Kibicho and Fred Matiangi.
Back to Farouk, he has been Dr Ruto trusted aide for more than three decades.
Apart from discharging his official duties with commitment and precision, he is a philanthropist. He has been building schools and paying school fees for hundreds of needy students from poor families.
Apart from his personal contributions, he has been organizing the events to raise the monies to support these worthy causes.
One of such event is Chepsaita cross-country marathon. He is the patron. In eve of Christmas festive, he invited the Deputy President Kithure Kindiki to participate in this event. You would not have expected the good Professor to honor the invitation if they were not reading the same script.
