Luanda – Angola
Worth Noting:
- Earlier this year, the kudurist, who regularly participated in MPLA ralieis organized by the former president of the Republic, José Eduardo Dos Santos, who also died this year, gave a controversial interview to the artist Flysquad, in which he got angry with the interviewer when he questioned him about “ZEDU”, who he said was the “Father” who fed him.
- They left a few months apart, but between the institutional grief of the state funeral of “ZEDU” and the commotion of the farewell of the “Gereral staff of Kuduro”, there was a world of distance.
Today, it is possible to notice thousands of Kuduristas with dyed hair and voice import, which already has its owner, NAGRELHA. The well-known Nana, the one who tormented several male and female singers, when he decided to humiliate the legions of fans he had.
I feel too small to talk about NAGRELHA, talking about this man is talking about Angola, he was a young man who was born in a place where hope almost does not exist, SAMBIZANGA is one of the municipalities of Luanda, considered one of the most dangerous in Angola, but in the 2000s a group called “ OS LAMBAS” emerged.

Group formed by young people; AMIZADE, BRUNO KING AND NAGRELHA. They enchanted Angola with their songs, the group that came from the alleys of SAMBIZANGA to all of Angola, before NAGRELHA died, first he was one of the pillars of the AMIZADE group, it was difficult for the group´s fans, but they didn´t stop, they continued to toast the their fans, they are considered the best group in Kuduro style. For many NAGRELHA is the real kuduro´s main staff.
Angola lost a dear son, after President Agostinho Neto, NAGRELHA was the other one who made Angola cry. Children, adult and the elderly filled Avenida Deolinda Rodrigues to closely follow the funeral of the emblematic figure of Angolan music, member of the group “OS LAMBAS” which revolutionized the kuduro musical style. “Nana”, as he is affectionately called by fans, was born in SAMBIZANGA, a district of Luanda with a reputation for being a crime zone.
His rise to the musical limelight influenced many young people to sing and dance to kuduro, a still marginalized style of urban music. Death came early for the 36 year old artist who returned to Luanda a few months ago, after a period of treatment in Portugal, having been admitted to the former Luanda sanatorium, the current Cardeal Alexandre do Nascimento hospital complex, due to lung cancer.

And the young people, from all the peripheral neighborhoods of Luanda, who did not brother with the partisan collage of NAGRELHA, showed that their world is the greatest, honoring the artist with a funeral procession never seen in Luanda, according to several people heard by Lusa.
As they paraded, many mourned the “Son of ZEDU”, while others proclaimed “NAGRELHA” president. Joâo Lourenço, deputy in an implicit criticism of the current head of state.
